Getting back to work

I’m starting full time employment on Wednesday, 19 months since I last worked and 10 months since transplant. Never thought i’d ever be saying that.

Hope you all have a happy and healthy 2019.

Well done mate! Hope everything goes smooth. Luckily I've been self employed for 7 years so never felt any pressure to do more than I was comfortable with. Even 2 years post, I don't think I'd be ready for a 9-5 job. Guess recovery has made me too lazy 😅.

8 years self employed for me, allowed me to work right up to Transplant. Pesky tax return next month remember.

Well done Will, brilliant news, there is work life after.

I know, dreading it 😬. Accountant deals with all that, I'm sure he won't forget 😁

Thanks Mark, being a full time alcoholic didn’t work out to well for me. Really looking forward to getting back to work sober.

Thanks Klodian, it’s the same job I quit when I had troubles, they heard I was sober and back on my feet and got in contact a couple of weeks ago so everyone there is aware of my alcoholism and subsequent liver disease and transplant. I was thinking about self employment myself as a Netflix reviewer as I appear to have now watched the entire catalogue 😂.

Talking about Netflix, have you watched the new Black Mirror episode, Bandersnatch? Just came out today. Wasn't as blown away by it as the others before but it's different. Love Black Mirror! All year I look forward to it more than Christmas and New Year 😊

How delighted I am for you. May 2019 bring you so much joy and happiness along with super health.

That’s fantastic! I work with my hubby so can be flexible. It’s not a 9-5 job. If I’m in the office then I can being my pjs, as the office is at home. Alternatively I can move the office upstairs and work on the laptop in bed 😂. Even 18 months post I need a nap, perhaps not daily but often. Please take it easy and don’t plan anything too mad for the weekends. You’ll need to rest.

The satisfaction of doing something again and of having some money coming in will be fantastic. Enjoy!

Well Done, I am trying to get some part time work, my trouble is 3 months after TP I reached retirement!

Needed a rest the next day
