Ask your GP for Dermol (saves on shower gel) and Zerobase cream, did the trick for me.

Hi

My GP put me on fexofenadine 180mg which stopped my itching. Hope you get sorted soon.. take care Lynne

Lynne,

Thanks, I appreciate that and surprised my GP never suggested that one, pre-transplant when things were particularly bad.

Post-transplant it went away initially but the mycophenalate causes rashes and pigmentation problems, I have while patches on my arms, not too bad but looks like self harming.

At the moment the Dermol and Zerobase works but if it gets worse, I know what to ask for.

Kind regards,

Mark

Lynne,

Thanks for the tip, fexofenadine now been added to my pill cupboard, it works 😶

You are welcome and I'm pleased it works!!! Take care Lynne

I had Zerobase as well. Didn’t need it after transplant as the side effects of one of the tablets (prograf ???) made all my psoriasis disappear - in my case the psoriasis was the main cause of the itching)

Cheers Miles,

Interesting, they switched me from prograf to bisperol, maybe that could be the issue. I’ll discuss in my next clinic but as mentioned, it’s not that bad, just worry about going back to where I was before.

Why did they switch you, Mark (of course you don’t have to answer!)

Not sure Miles, one minute the pharmacist was at the end of my bed on the ward, shortly before discharge. She said that she was going to switch, the prograf was 4x a day, the bisperol once. Before she explained, her beeper went off, she apologised and said she would be back shortly, never happened. I had no concern, from 4 to 1, less is more.

Didn’t really think about it until you mentioned it, blood and progress all positive. It’s all uncharted territory for us all.

It's absolutely murder had some disgusting concotion that was like wallpaper paste with sawdust mixed in made no difference at all the only thing that gave me any sort of relief was Dream Cream from Lush worth buying in my opinion.

Sleepy from Lush is also wonderful. I use DrSalts Dead Sea salts in the bath. Impressive.
