Taking Trimethoprim for UTI

Hi everyone, I started taking this antibiotic on Tuesday evening after visiting GP Extra.

I have had to come home from work today as making me feel sick, numbness in fingers and around my mouth and my heart feels like it's beating rapidly. Do I stop taking them or persevere?

I'd try to consult with my doc before I simply stopped taking this. If your doc isn't available, you might ask the office if there is someone on call for the group who could help.

If your symptoms continue to increase, or become more alarming you might have to go to urgent care or some other emergency facility. If you have to switch to a different med, it would be good to get started on the new med as soon as possible after discontinuing the Trimethoprim.

Hope this passes soon.
