Congratulations and well done. Just love the ears and whiskers.
How do I convince my 25 year old daughter mother of 2 that she can still go out and have a good time without getting bladdered in fact many of my friends. I donβt want to be a party pooper but want to make them aware of what they could be doing.
Oooh that's a hard one julie8 because my own mam used to say to me "you dont have to stop completely jusr take it easy" which i never would xx drinking for me was an escapism so I suppose it depends why your daughter is drinking so much/to excess/to get pissed?
The harsh reality is that ....it ages you,it takes over,it pretends to be your friend and the biggy is your organs hate it,they hate the battle with it & in the end they give up & the drink wins that fight.
Of course non of us believe this while we're drinking. My one piece of advice to your daughter is ....her children!! Tell her to do it for them & I promise you and her it will be the best decision she's ever made.
As for going out and needing to drink to be funny or outgoing >>> I'll let you into a secret I'm funnier now sober & as soon as I'm 100% I'm doing a sky dive for charity ha I couldn't have done that full of vino and I'm delighted. Failing that i'll show her my before and after pics lol that might scare her into giving up/cutting down.
Take care lovely hope it helps π Lisa xx
You are star fab!
Happy Birthday and we'll done π
What a positive story!
I too have found I'm more outgoing etc being sober. I suppose, as drunk as I was, there was always a nagging voice in my head saying 'man, you're drunk, don't make a fool of yourself!'
Now I speak freely, and laugh harder, without reserve, knowing that I'm in full control of my behaviour.
Like the old adage says:
'Sobriety brings the things that alcohol promised'
Keep on keeping on βΊ
Hiya Garyvh π omg I love that "sobriety brings the things that alcohol promised"πͺxx it also brings out the real you!! & i love the new me (or am I the real old me π€ͺ lol)
Ha sober is the new black or it's like a new cool group .....and we're in it yayyyy go us.
Well done you & keep going you're doing fab #thissoberlife πΉ
