Just wondering do any of you suffer with night sweats post transplant?
It's happened on and off since, but last few months it's got progressively worse to the point I am changing 2 or 3 times a night and I have the fan on just checking if it's a regular occurrence post before I go see a GP about it ...
Btw I hope your all doing good x

Hi, I haven't had transplant but I get night sweats, from my neck upwards, did you get them before transplant?
I know it's not the change, I've been through that. Hope you are feeling good apart from that. Lots of love Lynne xxxx
Hi, I did always sweat a fair amount but now I sweat so much it is embarrassing and constant. Wether day or night. I know weather has been a bit warm but it’s not only in the heat especially when walking or doing anything it’s just soaking and dripping. As far as transplant goes all is going well and six month appointments now. Thanks so much to so many .
Hi Jojo I’m the same but not restricted to night time the minute I’m doing anything except from sitting I start to sweat, I have asked about it loads of time but I have never been given an answer apart from the menopause, good luck at the drs and if you get an answer please let me know.
Ask for clonidine Leeds approved that one with me. My GP prescribed it first as even if it was the menopause we can't have hrt. This is excellent medication for the sweats especially night ones. I was going mad. I had already had an early menopause & felt like it again. They took a few days to kick in but amazing. There isn't much more we can take for this. Good luck
I don't know anything about transplants but could it be the medication? When I was taking steroids I was boiling hot all the time and had to sleep with no covers even in winter.
I sleep continuously with a fan on for past six months because of sweating. Also get bad sweats during the day. During the recent heatwave I constantly looked like I had been in a swimming pool and forgot my towel! I read up and I’m convinced it’s side effects from all the medications I take at the moment.
Hey Jojo the sweating may also very well have to do with your spleen. Have you seen a hemotologist lately since transplant? I know you have had posts about your spleen being enlarged even post transplant. I only mention this as night sweats are vwry common in issues with the lymphatic system which your spleen is . Its one giant lymph node of sorts.
Hiya I never even thought about it doh!! I have had a scan recently on my lmph nodes checking for cancer but that was about 3 weeks ago but I am thinking no news is good news 😊
I think I will give the heamtologist department a call today and see if I can have a chat with someone and see if it's related thank you x
My husband seems to be constantly feeling hot at night - he keeps all the windows open - even if it is freezing!
You do need to mention this in clinic as it could be due to meds/immune suppression/steroids etc - could also be a case of a simple blood test to look for anything brewing...
