I am sorry now that maby I was to pushing with my doctor secretary when she gave me the next appointment in 15'thNovember.I have tried few times to understand how it is possible with my fibroscan reading to received such a late appointment, and at the end I explode with telling her that after all I endured they give me no chance, but to sue the clinic.

In less than five minutes called me back with a new appointment for 10'th August. Why she couldn't give it to me before that, while I was almost crying?

I am so ashamed now, but furious as well!

Life.... Sometimes is taking out the beast from inside you!

How long have you wait for your appointment?

Thank you.

You were right to complain. Expecting you to wait 3 ½ months to see the specialist after your FibroScan score pointed to your liver being cirrhotic borders on medical negligence. The secretary may not have understood that your FibroScan score indicates that you may have a serious problem with your liver that needs to be evaluated quickly. The other possibility is that the specialist told his secretary to book you to see him in 3 ½ months in which case I'd be changing doctors!

I'd probably give the doctor the benefit of the doubt and see what he wants to do about the FibroScan score indicating cirrhosis. You shouldn't have cirrhosis from hepatitis A which you revealed you had in your other post. If you do have cirrhosis then it's likely from a yet to be determined cause. The doctor may order another FibroScan to confirm that the first score wasn't an error or he may suggest a biopsy to see what's really going on.
