Cut that out. It's in every food almost. Liver can't filter it. Just like alcohol when liver damaged. Don't give up. My liver specialist said anything green will filter well and beets but beets r so messy. Hang on xo from boldad

Beets are also filled with glutathione. Which, is scientifically proven to help heal damaged liver cells. It isn't a cure for liver dieseas, but it's very good for you. The liver uses glutathione not only to fix cells but to detox the body as well. For example, Tylenol causes damage to the liver when glutathione is depleted. Instead of glutathione binding to NAPQI the toxic metabolite that 10% of Tylenol is converted into binds to hepatocytes and causes damage. Beets are an A+ when it come to the human body. It's also the largest antioxidant found within the human body.
You certainly know your stuff 👍
Beets can be an acquired taste , but I agree are excellent for you health wise . You can get organic beet juice from supermarkets now , so not as messy .
Often crosses my mind that the body craves what it needs..... I eat a lot of beet. Sadly I am also rather fond of salt. Must take note and try to cut down.
