Hi

So happy things are getting better. My hands shook terribly too. I think it’s the meds. These have to be pretty Strong at first then slowly the drs will reduce, fiddle with them, and the shaking will reduce/stop. After nearly one yr I only have the faintest tremor on my left ring finger. Not a symptom of the state of my marriage, just the meds 😂. Now the worst is over I hope that you are able to start thinking a little about yourself. All my love to you both

I am glad he is getting better. I had shaking because of low magnesium, this was a side effect of the tacrolimus.

I am 7 months post, the only medication I take now is 5mg Advagraf daily, no side effects.

Best wishes

Paul

Hi

Yes it's the medication, mainly the steroids, hubby is coming up to 4 weeks post transplant this weekend, his shakes are getting less as the steroids are being reduced, he also has silky smooth legs, & arms - stubble free - as he joked what every woman wants to achieve this, he wasn't overly hairy to begin with he only noticed yesterday that he had no armpit hair, it's started to come back but it's baby soft

I think most if not all have the tremors post op. It does go away over a period. For me about 8 weeks before completely gone. As per the earlier post, yes it does mess with your hair. Hairy chest now gone and legs significantly less hair. The hair in my head is a lot softer. Weird, but small price to pay.

So we told doctor today at clinic and he has dropped one tablet and gonna ring tomorrow about dropping more after blood results . He said it’s the tablets . On a positive note his liver functions are perfect 👌 x.
