Swelling in leg

Hi all,

I had some swelling in my left leg and foot tonight. I'm feeling nervous as this has been a sign of a bleed coming on in the past. The last time my feet got swollen I was hospitalized. The other night I could feel slight pounding in the chest again which is a physical sign of pressure.

Thanks for listening all... just feeling anxious I will have another esophageal bleed before I can get my TIPS completed.

Does anyone else get swelling and pounding in the chest?

Hi Laura,

I'm in Canada. Is that an health number in U.K.? We have a similar thing here and I am ready to call if there is another sign for sure.

Oh Aileen I'm so sorry I have no idea about health care in Canada. But you really need to get checked out asap.

Hi wilst my wife was waiting on her transplant she had lots of leg and ankle swelling but I would get it checked at the hospital just in case

Hi Lynne

So far no symptoms today. It's been hot here in Canada so I'm trying to stay hydrated and see if that helps. If I have another symptom, my husband and I have a plan. We had the drill down pat last bleed and during pregnancy we knew what to do. Will keep ya posted. TIPS happening end of June. Fingers crossed. Thank you for the support.

Like I said above, if I have another sign or symptom my husband will be taking me in. Just a few weeks to go for this TIPS. Fingers crossed. It's been very hot here in Canada and I'm trying to stay hydrated too
