Hi Catherine, I have to take anti biotics which only work on the kidneys, I've had 4 episodes where I've been hospitalised.

Suffered from kidney infections for years. It is thought that it was antibiotics for kidney infection that caused my original liver to fail. But don’t worry about because it is quite rare and mostly antibiotic do make infections better. To answer your question sometimes the two go hand in hand

Hi

I have a transplant (& immunosuppresseurs) and never had problems until in hospital after operation. I have a colony of e-coli (sorry I live in France and this is the term they use) which are mainly dormant. However I sometimes have symptoms and need antibiotics. I appear to be getting less responsive to certain antibiotics which is a bit of a problem. They don’t generally give me ABs as they are worried they will be less effective.

Thank you each family your message, I know now I'm not alone. Just got back problem kidney Dr. They think it is kidney stones. Go for sonogram and cray kin the morning. Then back Thursday for results?

Take care and keep Your head up. Hugs to all l
