Feeling like I'm drugged

Ok so for a while now I've been having extreme fatigue. I was diagnosed with liver fibrosis in Feb and have an appointment with a liver specialist in 2 weeks. Yesterday I woke up feeling more than fatigued , I felt drugged. And I couldn't stay awake last night. I was hoping to feel refreshed this morning but I don't. Still feel drugged. I have completely changed my diet and lifestyle since my diagnosis and I even lost about 17 lbs.

Another feeling, or lack of, I've been having is numbness. An example is I'm sitting outside, it's spring, the sun is warm, I can smell flowers blooming somewhere, but I don't feel it. I remember I used to like the way that felt but I can't actually feel it.

Has anyone experienced either or both of these? Are they liver related?

A feeling of numbness towards things you used to previously enjoy is a classic symptom of depression, as is fatigue, although an unhealthy liver can also cause fatigue too.

You've had a lot to take in with being diagnosed and it wouldn't be surprising that this has led to a depressed mood.

How are you feeling physically, apart from the fatigue? Do you feel poorly, or are you suffering any discomfort?

Not really too much. Occasionally when I eat I feel a twinge below my right rib. I always have a very mild, dull pain on my middle back on the right side. It feels like a strained muscle that doesn't go away. But I wouldn't even describe it as pain. The only 2 symptoms I've really experienced were pale stool and extreme fatigue. The stool was dismissed by my doctors over the past 4 years and I thought the fatigue was menopause.

One other symptom was overheating, which I though was hot flashes. But many times it wasn't in the form of a flash so I'm not so sure anymore. That actually seems to have lessened since I started on Metformin, and I seem to be retaining less water. Don't know if the Metformin is why. Don't know if those were liver related or metabolic syndrome related.
