I hardly ever eat red meat but I wouldn't be surprised if Daily Mail came up with another article next week saying how eating red meat can add years to your life. They post contradictory information all the time.

Yeah, I totally agree about the daily mail and their contradictory scare mongering! but below is a link to the study featured,I thought it might be more digestible in daily mail format. Id only ever post something from them if it was based around an actual study, everthing else I take with a pinch of salt..or not! 😁 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/2...

Interesting but I suspect it’s far worse for the liver to eat refined carbs and sugar. Consuming less red meat is a win win though anyway.

Yeah the carbs defo don't help either, could do to cut them down myself too, I love bread..and ham 😁

No more bread or ham?? Stuff WW3! We’re all doomed I tell you lol. I live on bread and ham sarnies sometimes.

Cheers,

Brett

Or did I just get that wrong? Bread and ham is OK? There might be a future for us afterall lol

I wish! 😁 I could live off ham sarnies too 😋. My grandma was brought up on stuff like that, she's 84 years old and still covers her white doorstop bread and beef dripping sarnies in extra salt and her liver is in better Nick than mine! 😂 xxx

Yeah, so true grace! I've been trying to cut iron down lately, as well as everything else and I cannot believe how much food is fortified with it! Xxxx

yep likewise....still-I'd rather snuff it after overdoing the bread & ham than something else.....

hope it's not that bad Millie

Its bad enough. What with this awful nausea and my two prolapsed discs middle to lower back and osteopenia in right hip.

My mobility is now reduced so my only comfort is the naughty foods.😏

Interesting, thanks. I’d already given up red meat as my iron levels are too high. Seemed to make sense to me!

I'm trying to limit it too Becky, for same reason. ☺

Good post Stacie. Never eat red meats, never have. Don't like it. Give me chicken, lean pork loin any day and sweet potato. 😋😋x
