Firstly it's slightly high but not alarming but if you want to make a difference cut alcohol out, fresh food diet no salt and exercise
I agree with Jojokarak. Based on most lab references ranges, that is just slightly elevated, and stand alone it is most likely just something to monitor, but cutting / reducing alcohol will certainly not hurt.
That isn't a very high number, I'd change your diet, get away from salt, stay away from sugars. Cut out the alcohol, at least for right no and get more labs drawn in a month or so. Sometimes it can take a good six months for AST and ALT to settle. With yours being slightly elevated, it probably won't take long. I wouldn't worry, but I would take note that you're getting older and your liver is being affected by drinking and eating habits. As ALT signals that there is some inflammation going on in the liver. We all have some ALT on our blood stream because hepatocytes dye off and new ones take it's place, your daily cell cycle. However, when the number is inflated, then something is annoying the liver. Drink beet juice, glutathoine is the number one liver antioxidant and it helps repair damage.
