Bloated

Since my cirrhosis diagnosis, some days I feel very uncomfortable with bloatednes after eating, I’m on a strict diet because I also have heart disease and diabetes. Also after my latest ultrasound they said I’ve got a slightly enlarged liver. Is feeling bloated common? Thanks

That's great then as they do know straight away if you have. It's just another part and parcel of cirrhosis we have to get used too the bloating feeling. Which hospital are you under?

Good luck with your fitness assessment Bugsy, walking will do you a lot of good and t/p team will encourage you to do as much exercise as you can manage (within reason) to keep your heart and lungs as healthy as possible.

As jojo said it is completely normal. I dont have ascites but i feel fat and bloated every day . I am not over weight but i do have a lot of muscle wastage on my back and rear end so to speak. This gives me so much pain when taking a bath, but i struggle with that as i have late stage osteopenia of the hip. Having double mri on 18 dec.

If your concernd just contact your gp. I am under QE birmingham

Yes it is. it’s taken me a while to admit that the skinny jeans and fitted tops will have to be assigned to the back of the wardrobe most days , and leggings and stretchy pants are now a fashion staple for me. I’m not bloated all the time but when i blow up I feel like Varuca salt in willy wonka. I have always been very tiny which doesn’t help when ascities kicks in too but have learned to have clothes on hand that make me feel and look comfortable , even as far as maternity wear.
