Fatty liver syndrome /fatty liver disease

I have heard about fatty liver syndrome and fatty liver disease, can anyone tell me what the difference is please.

Same thing - just someone using 'syndrome' as it seems a less scary term than disease - fatty liver disease is the only term you'll see on British Liver Trust and NHS websites.
