Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm in Liver

Hi,

My 15 year old daughter had open surgery 14 weeks ago to de roof what was thought to be a 13cm simple liver cyst. Its now been tested and was a MCN which from what I can gather is really rare and usually found in the pancreas, although that in itself is also really rare! After some pain she was re scanned with ultrasound and already has another cyst that is 5 by 6 cm. Any one else here have this or heard of it before on someone so young? She is now 16 so will be transferred from Birmingham Children's Hospital to the QE I'm guessing.
