Ultrasound scan?

Hello. I am new and just joined today. I'm just wondering if my liver blood tests came back normal does this mean I definitely don't have a liver problem and there would be no point now having an ultrasound?

Hope you can help. Thank you.

If an ultrasound is offered I would still go for peace of mind. LFT's can return as normal even in people with pretty advanced liver disease. If you were in anyway symptomatic (even with normal bloods) it should be followed up.

Thanks for the reply.

I did have a full body CT scan a while ago (which came back as normal). Are CT scans used for looking at organs such as the liver too? Or is ultrasound best?

Just wondering if I need a ultrasound if I've had a CT scan already (though this was a year ago now!)

CT is a better scan than ultrasound. If they checked your liver during CT last year that should have been ok. If doctors think you still need an ultrasound then it won't do any harm. If you are symptom free and have normal bloods and normal liver on CT last year it all sounds good. If doctor is ordering an US then have it as your CT isn't recent.
