Question about mother in law?

I would like to ask if any members can help with a query I have. My Mother in law has Cirrhosis through NASH. This morning when we went to see her she had blood on the left side of her nightie. She doesn't know where she has bled from and said she hasn't banged her self. There wasn't lots of blood about 2 teaspoons. Can anyone shed any light on what this might be please. We have informed the doctor and asked for her 6 weekly blood tests to be done. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ginaebbs

No idea about the blood, but you have done the right thing about informing her doctor. All you can really do is keep an eye on it.

I haven't been good on keeping an eye on my blood readings so thank you for reminding me they should be every six weeks. I have a recent diagnosis of nafld and cirrhosis.

Thank you for your reply . There has been no bleed since so just keeping an eye on things. You need to make sure you keep up with the blood tests so you can be treated if need be.

Thanks for your concern. I will make sure I do now. Probably a bit stable door and horse, but better late than never. Just a quick comment as a family carer look after your own health as well. It is easy to forget yourself when your caring for others. Been there worn the t-shirt as they say.

Thank you for your reply. Tell me about the carer bit, we have father in law with vascular dementi, he is in a care home as mother in law couldn't look after him, we go there to make sure he is ok, and also 2 boys with aspergers, but we keep going, that's what we do for family.

Don't forget your blood tests, they are very important.
