Hey all,
Does anyone experience a dry cough after eating? Has only started fairly recently. Wondering if it's the start of varices.

Hi Identity75, I've got varices, recently started a banding program, but I don't suffer with a dry cough but maybe you should mention it anyway, we're all different 😊
Could be signs of hariboitis? Best thing to sort that out is a dose of leeches......
On a more sensible note I had no signs of any symptoms apart from becoming very dizzy at times due to the acute anemia, I managed a 2km jog the day before the ambulance got called!! All went south after that 🤕🤕
think you need to get the harboitis into the medical books.!!!!! haha
Hariboitis is the cure not the illness
or in my case mini egg vitamins.... highly recommend them what would the dietician say!!! got given far too much choc for easter but can't let it go to waste. cazer. x
Cream eggs for me. Filled with a wonderfully healing elixir.
Your lucky can't eat chocolate, makes me feel sick......have got 4 bags of haribo to make good on, as long as I don't get hariboitis!!
I've eaten two dozen leeches... still made me cough 😜
Hi identity, well I have not read anywhere as yet about having a cough pre varices, best get checked out .maybe @chell-pv could shed any light for you? ☺
No cough pre-varices for hubby but still worth you mentioning and getting checked out.
could it be what your eating. things like oatcakes and dry biscuits and crackers make me cough, so i take a big drink of water when im eating them but best to get it checked out. also pain medication can dry me up and make me cough and make my eyes a bit dry too. i hope all is well. love gracexoxoxo
ive had an irritating cough for years... think its acid from refluxhave hsd throat and stomach looked at... no varices but did have stomach ulcers. think its also possible to problems with lack of saliva. x
always have a hot drink at a meal that helps. x
Hi, I developed a cough that was associated with a build up of fluid that was filling my lung cavity. 9 litres drained cough went immediately only to return when liquid began to reaccumulate. All associated with failed liver TP. Best advice get it checked out and leave no stone unturned.
Me same as barnetaccounts had cough when I had fluid build up. Never ever had with varices.... But you may just have a cough, you are more prone to picking infections up and body not fighting it as good. so go to your doctor and get checked out
if its acid its always worse at night when you lie down. x
I had a persistent dry cough fo years until my TX , thought it was acid reflux but nothing helped. Finally it was diagnosed as Neurogenic cough.
Can you get a referral to ENT and mention this?
