Hello Terrie, welcome. I'm going to ask you the same question I've just asked Maxine. May I ask please what the reason is for you being on the waiting list? You'll appreciate that most of the users on this site have been in need of a transplant for different reasons. There are many associated conditions that are connected, so an idea of the cause would be of help. I personally had an alcohol issue which although I'm not proud of my past, will freely admit to my situation.

Hi Terrie, if you are interested in doing a free online course then Future Learn is about to re-run its very interesting and informative course 'Liver Transplant - The Ins and Outs'.

It goes into lots of detail about transplant plus all the newer developments in the surgery, immune suppressant regimes and a whole lot more. Many of us on the forum have done this course and it's partner one on 'Looking after you liver' previously and they are very good. You do not have to complete them in the given timescale as the courses still online and active even after the final week is run.

Worth a look if you are wanting to learn as much as possible.
