Hi lindy66
I understand how your feeling I'm having the same pain in my sometimes comes on when I'm just sitting or walking I'm waiting for an appointment to discuss this issue I'll update as soon as i know hun x Tracy
You can and will get pain around the area where the liver is it's nothing to worry about its just something you will get used too, until you begin to reverse fatty liver with food and exercise. Doctor or consultant will tell you that you can't get pain in the liver but we have all experienced it at one time. good luck with everything x
Hi, just read your post and I too get pain and cramp where liver is, so I asked hepatologist who said it's not liver pain but pain in the gut. I came away with an answer

Doctors will tell you the liver can't feel pain though as you've seen from the previous replies when your liver is inflamed there can be pain in the liver region due to it stretching the membrane (Glisson Capsule) which surrounds the liver and also if the liver is enlarged it may press on surrounding organs and tissues.
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is thought to be reversible and we've had some folks reporting their success stories on here over the years. If you haven't already seen it then the British Liver Trust has a specific page (and downloadable leaflet) detailing the condition and what you can do about it.
You'll find the page at:- britishlivertrust.org.uk/li...
Hope you can find some help contained in there.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. You will find lots of support on here.
As Katie has kindly already said, there is a lot on The British Liver Trust website for Non Alcohol Related Fatty Liver Disease.
If you are experiencing pain and liver symptoms it would be advisable to see your GP and ask for some tests to check your liver function. Your GP can also refer you to a liver specialist if needed.
Best wishes,
Rebecca
