vein on side of tummy....

I can't get the thought that I have cirrhosis out of my head.

I drank heavily for about 20 years, stopped for a year at a time when i had my kids.

Ive stopped for good at Christmas.

I am about 6 stone overweight and I carry the weight around my middle.

Ive noticed a vein on the right side of my tummy, it's in a c" shape.

Im worried that this is portal hypertension.

I had full bloods done in March and everything was OK. My GP went on about the AST/ALT ratio. My AST was 13.

Can you have veins in your abdomen and not have cirrhosis?

Im devastated.
