Contraception????

Had liver failure....but need contraception...depo provera been ruled outas has the combined pill...sterilisation too.due to poor clotting and platelets....only option offered is...barrier methods or the copper coil....is there really no other option available...except celibacy?

I have the nexplanon implant. Due to very low platelets, the procedure was done at the hospital immediately after a platelet transfusion. No problems at all- this is my third one

I think celebracy is an extreme measure but it's an option LOL, I think you are right you have only limited options but the best one as far as I can see is the coil, it's safe and once in place can be forgotten, I had it in for many years without a thought, so until there are other choices then I hope you find one your comfortable with
