I'm glad to hear the procedure yesterday went well. Is hubby still in hospital or at home? I'd definitely get his swelling checked out just to see if it is normal after this procedure afterall they will have penetrated his skin and the liver so would be worth checking for bleeds or whatever. My hubby was kept in after a transjugular biopsy of the liver till all had settled down.
Hope this keeps things ticking along ok till that transplant call comes.
All the very best to you both, love from Katie
Is he on any pain meds that might be causing the delirium or does he have a fever? Is his blood pressure normal - it would fall with an internal bleed. Has he been on lactulose to reduce ammonia levels, make sure he isnt constipated. Might he be bloated with gas or do you suspect it's fluid. If he is still in hospital ask for it to be checked out, if he is at home, ring the hospital back or ring your GP.
We are in hospital... The team have said they will keep him and observe today, blood pressure and temperature has been normal, just waiting for blood tests results... He hasn't slept all night so is sleeping now, hopefully this will help...
he needs to eat and be up and about
:/
Also... Hes swollen tummy gets worse when he drink water so is avoiding it, he did take pain relief so could be that which had caused the deliriousness...
