Oh trextasy I really am not sure, if it was just one you might get away with it, is the ACITES due to liver damage, if it is you took a risk I would not take, hope your OK. Angse

If your liver has been damaged enough in the past to develop ascites then the likelihood is you have cirrhosis, in which case anything like alcohol, drugs, medication, the wrong diet, will not be giving the liver the TLC (tender loving care) it deserves. Also one drink tends to lead to another, so I would try your hardest to avoid alcohol from now on.

I echo what Bolly says. Hopefully you will be ok but stop drinking now. I am an alcoholic who has had ascites and I was told just one drink could trigger the ascites again.

Please look after yourself. Take care.

Bolly is spot on. If you have experienced any symptom that can be related to Liver disease, whether or not it has actually been confirmed as being caused by liver disease, the only wise & sensible thing is to STOP drinking & start looking after yourself.

Your body is sending you signals. Heed them.

Hiya, trextasy. I had a 2 day blip coming off the wagon as it were Just recently after abstaining from alcohol for over 2 years ( i was diagnosed as child pugh c 3 or 4 years ago if that means anything to you) and i,m still here but my face went yellow for a day just by drinking lager for 2 days!) i have never had a yellow face before even when i had a 6 week stay at the lgi in leeds my face colour didnt change. I,m not sure if that helps but lager definately had a strong impact over a small period of time so my advice is stop completely (sorry if that sounds patronising, i dont mean to lecture as it drives me mad myself and i know how it feels)
