Yesterday at parkrun, we were chatting to a few people afterwards who didn’t realise there was a parkrun app. Thought I’d post on here in case there are others who haven’t yet got it. It’s absolutely brilliant!
Some of the things you can do on it include:
1. See your previous runs and stats
2. Use a map of parkruns - the map shows which runs you’ve done too
3. Look each week to see which parkruns are cancelled (they are in red on the map, or in orange if there’s a cancellation coming up in the near future)
4. Contact a parkrun to volunteer/ get a shout out
5. Follow your friends
6. Work through some of the challenges. For example, the compass challenge - to do a parkrun with north, east, south and west in the name. The alphabet challenge - to do a parkrun beginning with each letter of the alphabet.
7. It has your barcode on.
8. Shows your volunteer ratio.
