I’m impressed, as I normally look as red as a tomato after my runs! πŸ€ͺ🀣🀣

Nothing wrong with the tomato look! πŸ₯΅

Hooray! There you are, both are making it look easy to have just run for 10K πŸ‘πŸ‘

Ah, dont be fooled, picture was from christmas day's 5k, probably looked a bit more puffed today! πŸ₯΅

Haha! Well, I think I took a selfie after the Vitality 10,000 and I looked just fine πŸ˜‚. I tend to run longer distances very slowly though - just speed up for the last km.

Dont think i'll be running much faster, as would like to eventualy add some more km's, plus today was a bit too fast maybe, as i'm normaly ok, once over the usual first 10 mins! πŸ€”

Definitely take it steady, then. As you get more comfortable with the distance, you will speed up naturally without needing to push it. I start off easy. Takes me about 3K to warm up then I feel my body want to go a bit faster. I let it, but then drop back a bit as I need to. Ebbing and flowing. Works really well for me. Then I speed up for the last km. Exactly the same for 10 miles and HM, a winning formula!

Sounds very sensible, actualy i think it's easier to slow down, when i'm running on my own. πŸ€”

Ah yes. I’ve only ever run with another person once - my older son. He was the one who had to slow down, we ran the 10K at my pace. But - he had never run for 10k before, so he was pleased!

Ah lovely πŸ‘πŸ» You’re both looking remarkably untroubled by your run exertions there. Looking strong πŸ’ͺ🏼

How lovely to have your daughter as your running buddy . I’m hoping my daughter will join me in 2021 .She is fit as a fiddle but β€˜doesn’t think runnng is for her’ . Trying to work the C25K magic on her πŸ˜‚πŸͺ„

It is nice to have her with me, she only joined in a few weeks ago, trying to get her sister, their twins, into doing c25k, as she's a bit down in the dumps, at the moment, with work, and covid, thought it would do her good. ☺

I came late to running but I can see how helpful it might have been when I was working full time etc. It’s a great escape and energiser .The youngsters have it tough right now , it’s not forever I know, but they have had to put hopes and plans on hold and really life should be more carefree at their ages. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Still , here’s to better days ahead πŸ™‚

Great she achieved that, such a shame she stopped - continuity is the name of the game for me- and many others I'm sure!- if I stopped now I would 'go under' BIG TIME!!!! - can you persuade her to read this forum?
