I do like days off ๐in winter when I come home in the dark and cold from work tired and hungry we just donโt get out for a run
Willow has been hobbling all week, Iโve muttered โ put those insoles we bought you last summer in your trainersโ several times, we donโt call it nagging in our house, anyway this morning while I was knitting and generally grumbling about the wool he put the insoles in and started saying how great they felt so supportive etc. anyway I never say I told you so ..... off we went
Adam and the Ants in my ears I felt so bouncy
Warm up walk, run a gentle kilometre, the air was too cold, my mouth hated it! had my buff round my head to keep my ears warm pulled it down round my neck and up over my nose and mouth, breathing much nicer but now my glasses were huffed up and i couldnโt see!! passed the car and threw my hoodie onto the bonnet, I really donโt understand how i can run with bare arms when everyone else is walking with coats and scarves
And oh flip, weโve run the first kilometre so i need to run fast to beat last weeks speed challenge,
That was hard.....7.32 possibly my fastest ever kilometre and wow I was puffed out
Gentle kilometre saying hello to all the regular dog walkers, canโt see Willow, turn round go the other way, nope heโs not there, pass the car, nope heโs not there, turned again and there he is gently running still, had already stopped my garmin so walked to meet him
Willow beat last weeks time by about a minute and was still saying how great the insoles were and i still wasnโt saying i told you so ๐
Went to collect some Christmas face masks iโd ordered last week and home
Have a great weekend everyone

Your runs always sound so interesting! Well done for getting out there. So glad Willow is more comfortable with the support - both yours and the inner soles! I still haven't managed to get out because of my back. Thought I'd try this morning but woke up to snow so walked the pup instead which was much more fun. He hadn't seen snow before and couldn't make out what it was! The innocence of youth ๐
Well done both, I felt like I went on that run with you reading that post, very enjoyable, well done on your fastest kilometre ๐ hopefully the insoles will do the trick with Willows niggley knee ๐ฆต ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Wow well done, great time! I attempted my speed run this morning but just wasn't feeling it. Was slower than my benchmark. Think I might've been a bit dehydrated. I'll have another go on Saturday. Happy weekend w&sโบ๏ธ
Thanks, Iโm working this weekend, depending on weather we might get out after work Sunday, next day off Tuesday and i will hopefully get a long run in
Two cardigans for a 5 and a 3 year old, Iโm also listening to a tv programme Willow is watching and reading a book about a pandemic which isnโt cheerful ๐ but interesting
Once Iโve warmed up off comes the hoodie, I love bare arms, but it goes back on again as soon as we stop
Willow is lovely but he does need a nudge sometimes ๐
Days off are running days for me ๐๐what a great write up you made me smile and feel so good for you in equal measures ๐๐well done on the speed challenge ๐๐๐
