Now, Sam was ahead all the way by miles, but just before the finish stopped to talk to friends.

I ran through heartlessly. 😁😁

Ha, just like that runner on the news today who stopped to let the other chap get third place - no, wait... not like that at all...πŸ˜ˆπŸ˜‚

I read about that and felt deep, deep shame. Which I fought off with a cup of tea. 😏

Sam’s a hero of mine. He’s 72 and has been running since Pontius was a pilot. His example set me off on C25K two years ago.

It is fun and we’re hoping it’s run next year. We ran the new 11 km route. The 20 km is for very hardy runners and usually dominated by East Africans.

Congratulations on your gold and silver medals heavyfoot . I think these virtual races are a great way of keeping people motivated and will be doing one myself at the end of October. It started off we’d be running with 9 , then in 2 groups to stay under 6 - who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Enjoy your running as it brightens up our day no end.
