Didn’t go out yesterday for my planned longer/slower run due to heavy wind/rain (and other excuses). So up early this Sunday morning and thought today’s the day but might need a NRC coach along to help.
Planned to do 2 steady laps of the field alongside the estuary and see where that takes me. Good easy pace, encouragement from Coach Bennett and at 7K I thought I was feeling fine and that I might just go a bit further If I keep going slow and steady ..... all the way to 10K!!!!
Can’t quite believe it, felt great when I finished and still smiling. Might not do it again for a while but that’s ok, back in the plan. So chuffed with myself and such stunning views 🏃♀️🎉😁

Of course we have! I wasn’t sure if I was going to do it yesterday. It was on a long, slow run. Took me 1 hr 33 minutes, but fortunately there isn’t a time limit 😂
Exact same thing ‘happened’ to me on Friday, went out to do 7k and ended up doing 10k in just under an hour, I couldn’t quite believe it. I started the C25K on 28th May, it really does work.
Great achievement a 10k in the bag, definitely the autumnal air is forging us all on as we can breathe in and out so much better than those hot days of summer. 👏👍🎉
