The December Vibe quest- the last few days πŸ¦‹πŸŒβš‘οΈ

Hello wonderful people, we are now in the last few days of the December Vibe quest. It’s a busy time of year so I hope you are all making the most of your you time πŸ¦‹

The pic is from my Monday recovery run today. It was so foggy, even my super uber torch made it look like I had a blanket in front of me.

How are you doing, are you sticking to your plan?

This month is a busy time for many people, and it can feel overwhelming trying to be super organised and do everything. With that in mind, my suggestion for this month is one of the following:

πŸ¦‹Something for you..... to take a moment, help you relax, de stress etc. For example this might be going for a massage, practicing mindfulness, yoga, going for a nature walk or just making time to be still and in the moment.

🌍 Try something new.... this could be anything.... but go out of your comfort zone to do something that you might not have before. For example for November I’ve been learning how to disco roller skate 😬

⚑️ A goal, which could be fitness / running related. For example to run 3 times a week, reach for a new PB, climb Mount Everest etc

Of course, you may wish to do ALL of them πŸ¦‹πŸŒβš‘οΈ

The Quest takes one calendar month. You can join at any point during that time.

I recommend that you are a C25K Graduate before joining the Quest. The reason for this your week is very much structured according to the C25K programme, and I wouldn't want the Quest to interfere with that.

Hi Ju-Ju

Cracked it, sort of ….. attacked the treadmill this morning and managed the 2nd and 4th Ks of a 5k run at my 13 kph / 4'36" per k target pace, with the whole 5k completed in 24'52". Not quite the same as maintaining the pace for 2k, but I reckon acceptable in the light of Christmas and my recent cold. Will aim to do it in one hit next month, all being well.

Onwards and Upwards - and a Happy New Year to you and all the other mentors/admins.

Hi ju-ju, I’m going for my first run for over a week this morning, I’ve lost my mojo and need to get it back. I’m hoping 2020 will be a healthy and happy year for all of us on here and we will all achieve our goals. πŸ˜€

Made it across the line of my yoga goal. Hooray, 'more often than not' achieved. And enjoyed. (Also, with that goal, the freedom to indulge in an occasional "Nah")

Picked up a Christmas cold and having had too many Januarys (and some Februarys) wiped out by being a tad too gungho with outdoorsy/fitness activities over the festive period, I have decided to be cautious. So it all awaits January!

So glad to have our ju-ju- back, and thanks for running this Quest - always a truly challenging one, but it really helps.
