Many of us will have completed our 3 runs this week and if you look at the plan carefully you are allowed a TREAT!!! Today I baked this rich and chocolately cake to celebrate Week 1. Although technically I will complete tomorrow after parkrun.
What did you choose as your TREAT?

Not this time - got several “away” trips and 2 lots of house guests in September so it’s an as-and-when running month for me. But I’m watching. 😊 And drooling over cake & strawberries! 👏🏼
My daughter’s goto post long run treat is halo top ice cream, 280-360 calories for the tub... and at the moment one chain has a competitor brand on at £1 a tub. I’m into pickled eggs and a glass of cider.
Oh that’s taking it up a notch! Lovely idea for a treat Oldfloss!
Wow looks delicious! 😋
I went straight for the big treat which I will now need to earn over the coming weeks.
I bought some wireless bone conductor headphones. Tried them out on my 5k yesterday and was really impressed. No tugging wires, falling out ear buds etc. I could also hear what was going on around me so feel I will be safer, especially as the mornings and evenings get darker.
You will put them to good use over the next 8 weeks as part of the plan so that’s pretty well earned and spent Good point about staying safe, as it gets darker I may need to alter some of running schedule xx
I got some for my birthday in July! I read reviews which said that the sound quality wasn't great but honestly I just love them and couldn't run without them now! 🎵👌
Thank you KevTrev! It certainly feels like it this morning after a PB at Parkrun, my first in many weeks, so so happy! More chocolate cake this morning too post run!
I'm on week 4 of the time plan and a couple of weeks ago bought myself some Brooks running shoes 👟, then last Sunday after an early long run to avoid the heat I went for a MacDonalds breakfast! 😊
Running belt is so handy, mines just enough to carry my phone, I may need something slightly bigger. Happy shopping and let us know what you decide on!
Need yes. Treats - the quite difficult bit of the course. However running seems to be even helping there. So the compromise made myself some flapjacks from reciepe off here on the basis I need the energy but a treat as well. Had one after run this morning - nice 🙂
Wow JaoJao - what an amazing treat! It looks scrumptious! Home baked too - that is a gorgeous looking chocolately cake. Yum!
I must admit that I have already worn my 'treat' - I am going to post about it tomorrow, most likely, when I've finished my third run of Week 1, so I'll hope to link to this reply, once I post it, so you can see what my treat is.
Good luck for your parkrun tomorrow.
Those strawberries look amazing too - and the cream - yum!
