Let’s go outside

Only my second run outdoors (after doing C25K on a treadmill) and quite pleased with it. Still finding it difficult and my legs feel like jelly. 2 days rest now, then back to it on Monday. Expect I’ll be aching tomorrow and Sunday but keep telling myself it’s only doing me good.

Well done great effort! do stretches afterwards and genrally keep stretching and moving the legs and keep well hydrated to help ward off aches n stiffness & sluggishness..

Yay - well done. Outside is definitely best 😊. Actually great respect for completing C25K on a treadmill - think it would have driven me mad! And I have a certainty that I'll one day get the speed setting wrong and be propelled off the end like in every comedy sketch ever 😂.

Also had a friend that found running to 'music' with a set pace (like audiofuel or podrunner stuff) helped her to make the transition from treadmill to outside.

It is definitely doing you good 😊.

Well done - How about doing the Cardiff parkrun as you run in the area?

I’d love to but I play golf on a Saturday morning. Maybe I’ll take a week of golf one Saturday and do the PR. Do you do it every week?

I only do it every other week because of work. I did up to week 6 of C25K on the treadmill and much prefer outside.

That looks really good to me, especially as you're new to the great outdoors, well done you...you'll find the varied British weather a blast 😆🏃‍♂️👍

You won’t regret it Davo, I love my running so much more since doing a lot of c25k in the gym because of bad weather. You can vary your location and terrain and get a suntan at the same time.

🏃‍♂️☀️👏👏
