My husband thought Iβd lost the plot, leaning out the car window photographing the Bristol 10k sign! Anyone else do that kind of thing? Just me? π π³
Anyway, Iβve just finished a delightful 5k in the beautiful sunshine. βοΈ
Lots of runners out today. They all seemed extra smiley today - or maybe they felt obliged to smile back at a middle aged lady grinning inanely, trotting along with a dog attached. π€
It was a lovely run and Iβll do one more short one on Thursday or Friday before the big day. A bit like a taper! π π π
Now...whoβd have thought weβd be seeing 5k as a short one? I reckon at least a half marathon might be something on the way. Brilliant!! Best wishes for the big day!! β€οΈ
Delays expected, that is for traffic, not the runners, I just hope there are no delays at the start of your 10K run on Sunday.
Nice photo of you cheeky, I understand that Dexy will be at the Bristol 10K as well, it will be nice meeting her and you could run the 10K together, however, her husband 'UptheStanley' will run ahead of both of you into the distance, he is a really good runner. Good luck with your run on Sunday, I understand the weather is to get a bit colder so it will be good running weather.
Thanks Al, yes itβll be fun to run with Dexy5 for a while until she gazelles off, and I know I wonβt see UpTheStanley for dust! We have met before, at Southampton Common PR a few weeks ago. ππββοΈπ
Iβve been checking the weather, and yes it looks perfect! Phew, no high winds or high temperatures. π
It looks like weβve got the right day then cheekychipmunks , and the weather is looking perfect for the occasion. Your top looks the same colour as my new one, which Iβll be wearing on Sunday.
Have you cheekychipmunks and Dexy5 noticed like I have the amount of new members joining us here on C25K, this is just since Sunday and the coverage of the London Marathon on TV which had a feature sometime during the program encourageing viewers to take up running and mentioning C25K π
I was so pleased to hear them promoting c25k Al. Even before then I noticed itβs much busier than I when was there. I canβt keep up with them all. Well weβve all been evangelical about it so word is getting round.
Iβm thinking if I have sleeves I wonβt have to worry so much about sunburn. But may change my mind , in which case Iβll be in different colours altogether. Decisions decisions π
Lovely photo π I always smile at everyone whether Iβm running or walking I canβt help myself π¬ππ good luck for your 10k youβll smash it and definitely no sleeves ... I even had to take my Santa run top off in December ... luckily I was wearing a vest underneathπ₯΅π₯΅π₯΅π€£π€£π€£
How exciting! Wishing you all the best - have fun! π. My 10k event is the following weekend, I will be tapering too π. Love the photos. What breed of dog do you have?
Thanks skysue! I expect youβre getting excited for your race too! Isnβt running fun? πββοΈππ
Awww thanks, thatβs my little Labrador. Sheβs a petite little working one, only about 22kg. Sheβs a great running companion and I take her whenever I can. I donβt run over 6k with her on the lead though - I try to find somewhere where she can run free. π β€οΈ
