I've had the new Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbos for a few day's but after an incredibly stressful week today was my first chance to give them a go.
Conditions were ideal to be fair, mild with just a slight breeze and the roads bone dry.
First 3 splits were 5.40, 5.42 and 5.50 so I had nearly a minute in hand for sub 30.
I really began to feel it during the 4th kilometres but still managed 6.01 then came home in 5.53.
So a new 5k PB of 29.25, never thought I would go that quick. The difference between the Nikes and my old cheap ones is simply amazing, I felt I was bouncing along.
Now for an easy night before tomorrow's 10k Valentines Run.
Run happy, run safe.

And good luck tomorrow too! They were handing out leaflets to the Severn Bridge 10k at parkrun this morning. I was thrilled to be a able to say Iβve already entered! πββοΈπββοΈ
Wow youβre a speedy one! π well done ππ»
My OH had the Turbos and absolutely loves them. Previously had Nikes with cloudfoam but hadn't realised how "done" the soles were until he got the new ones. They do look epic! Well done on the PB! π
It is and that's the bank account for new runners empty for at least 12 months, I need to resist the temptation to wear the Nikes all the time and stick with the ASICS for longer runs.
