Hello running comrades!
I'm looking for advice. I have been running for a couple of years but have recently had a bra problem. Underneath my boobs the bra has started to cut me in half. I thought it was too slack so have tightened. I have lost a bit of weight so maybe a new one is needed. In the meantime I am creamming after but during my run I'm stuffing my t-shirt underneath to lessen the pain. Anyway, any advice or experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ouch! Sounds to me like you need to get fitted for a new (smaller) bra. If it’s chafing, it’s moving, and a good fitted sports bra shouldn’t budge a millimetre when you run. Poor you, sounds painful! 😱
Ooo that sounds painful. Yes, definitely replace it as soon as you can. Not sure how comfy stuffing things down your current one can be? 😳
Time for a change I would say. Best one I have is a Freya Active but I tried loads before I came across these. I found the ones with a double clasp impossible to get on and off😳
new bra deffo..... I love the sweaty betty ones as very comfy however I am of the small persuasion so may not be for everyone!!!
I swear by the Lonsdale ones in Sports Direct, though I don't require a huge amount of engineering which means I can be less choosy. They're really cheap (2 for £13), are nice colours (I like the dark green crop top ones, though they don't seem to have them just now) and they come in a useful, sturdy box (I cover them in nice paper and store photos in them 😁). I've used them for all my sporty ventures over the years and really can't fault them, apart from the fact you have to go into Sports Direct and it always smells of feet and Lynx.

I use a “front-loading “ sports bra and have finally found one that can cope with my DD boobs without them trying to break free and black my eyes.

Hi Beach-runner, I also needed to buy something that would help those who are larger than average. I tried to buy a bra when I bought my running shoes from a specialist running shop. I actually cried when I left the shop as although the really helpful assistant said that she could help, there was nothing that would pass my 'jump test'. I had been running wearing two bras, an old sports bra on top of my usual underwired bra. Someone on the c25k posted about Shock Absorber Active D+ Classic Support Women's Sports Bra. They go from cup size D to H and I have been absolutely delighted with mine. I ordered a couple of sizes and kept the one that fitted and sent the other back. I do hope that you find what is right for you.

As I said the ones we use don’t let anything v move and they do them in larger cup sizes. I have bought about 15 different sports bras over the years and this is the first one that does what it says on the tin- none of the others hold a candle to it. I bought a second one in the end

Oh shame. I have tried so many modelled by someone with an A or B bust “ oh it’s wonderful” and I bounce all over the place in them but these are good - shame not your size ☹️
At a GG I would not look anywhere other than Shock Absorber. Wear the band as tight as you can, the rule is always if you go down in back size, go up in cup size to keep the same capacity (so for example a 34H has the same cup capacity as a 36GG)

Sorry you are experiencing such discomfort, definitely sounds like you need to go shopping.
I have lost count of how many brands I have tried. Still not completely happy.
I asked the woman in the shop about sizes and she said, Oh yes, they do run about 2 sizes smaller that regular bras.
Is it too much to expect that an inch is still an inch?
The only one I have that I like has to have the bloody padding or whatever it is stuffed back in after every wash.🤯
I have been wearing Panache sports bras for years, currently got 6 on the go. They do underwired and non underwired bras. They are so comfy, do not rub and nothing moves. I am a G cup.

I got my first one from M&S and it's been great, then a second from Decathalon, but from the gym section not the running section, I liked it better than the running ones. For your size I think M&S is worth a visit. I went to the huge store in Manchester. Smaller stores don't seem to stock this model (black with a thin red stripe on the shoulder straps and usual bra shape) and I don't like the M&S racer back ones.
My friend who has been a runner for years said my boobs would get smaller if I get in to running. I'm still waiting... I'd be really happy to be smaller!
Yes, so pleased that mine have reduced . I had to buy a new sports bra once I was on the bridge. My zip up one unzipped during one run!!!

Yes, unfortunately we can't choose where the weight drops from. I have lost under my boobs, but my thighs and boobs are still there in plenty.
