I've got very sore knees and was feeling a bit hard done by. Not run since Sunday as it just wouldn't be sensible. Been looking at physio and exercises, jumping to lots of conclusions until I realised today that starting last Monday I've got a heavy task back at work that I used to do daily that I haven't had in months and months. A task that made me super fit and strong but when not used to it really takes it out of your arms, chest, back and most importantly... knees!! ๐ก
So, feeling much more relieved now but impatient for my body to become reaccustomed to the task and knowing it should actually help my running eventually too.๐๐ช
If it means anything to anyone, its pushing or pulling triple stacked plastic dolavs (same base size as a pallet) which are empty but come in around 20kg each still. You either end up yanking them towards you then going round and pushing with both arms or back against them and push with your... KNEES!!! ๐๐

I would think about muscular imbalance and take advice on the best options and techniques that give you most protection on your most vulnerable joints and muscles and the best muscular balance.Working back and front evenly.๐ค
The more big muscles that take the load the better.
You take care of yourself, thatโs one way of getting a great workout.
Google 8 best dumbell exercises ever, the chap that presents it is pretty good on compound exercises.AthleneX๐ค.
It is a great workout ๐ช๐ I do try to do an equal amount pushing with arms as using legs. Works quads and glutes efficiently too.
I just can't believe I forgot it would be affecting me as I think it's nearly a year since I had them. At least now it's usually less than a dozen stacks whereas before was up to 22... or worse still sometimes 2 loads!
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ actually these are nothing compared to the double-stacked huge cardboard recycling bales I get. Those have been really getting to my knees so I've been asking for them split down when I have the room ๐๐
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ I know. Google any symptom and in 10 mins we all think we're dying.... which we are (but much more slowly and naturally) ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I do love my job but it can be hard "work" at times but that's part of the fun! ๐ช๐๐
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ some days it may as well be. No, lorry driver. Only I spend less time driving and more time pushing and pulling goods about. ๐ช๐ช๐๐
