I have had one of my best runs to date....downloaded C25k+ podcast & I LIKE Laura...she talked me through today...the pace was a bit slow at first but I did what she said & made circles with my feet...it all felt a bit exaggerated at first but the pace got me through...I liked the 5 min chunks...music was a bit naff but if I’m honest, I was that much in ‘the zone’ the music didn’t really count...phew, I think I’m over my graduation loss of path...😉
Feeling better: I have had one of my best runs... - Bridge to 10K
Feeling better
Don't suppose you can supply a link.
I downloaded it from iTunes...look for C25k & it’s linked to that....I’ve had one of my best runs to date...how are you doing??? X
Diagnosed with Sleep Apnea last Monday, same say as my 19 year old dog passed away. CPAP machine arrived Thursday. (They don't ang about). So depressed. Floundering in the dark. Was supposed to run this morning but lost my mojo since graduation. No structure, desperate to get back into a routine before i lose what i battled so hard for.
You sound like you're on the right path. Good on ya girl. X
Oh no...please..do not give up...what you’ve gone through is heartbreaking with regards to your lovely dog...and sleep apnea, oh boy,???!!! It please don’t give up running...it’s good for the soul...you know it is...I know you do...if you have to, go to iTunes & download C25k+ podcast...it’s not hard...you might lose yourself for a bit & get back on it....I wondered where u were xxx
Sorry to hear about your dog Sillyyak , and that you have been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. Your mood must be quite low.😐
Go for a run when you feel ready and up for it, and you will be fine. A break can actually be quite helpful.
The c25k + podcasts have some structure and start you running nice and slowly and give you sonething to think about.
Feel better soon😊x
So glad you have found something to help you find your mojo again! Well done, Mummycav !
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog 😞 The loss of a best pal is very hard and it will take time to heal.
Having a diversion, e.g. Running, will get you out into the fresh air and getting some good exercise. Getting fit should help with your sleep apnoea too. It helps with stress too 👍
The stepping Stones podcasts kick some serious ass as you, will find out asmyou work through them Cav! The slow bits on the first podcast are for leg building. The music is weird but it works. Keep doing them and then leave them on your playlist and run them as they crop up. Stamina has a solid fast five minute section at the end. 😃💪🏃♀️👍✔️
Thats so good to read, well done you...
So pleased you enjoyed the stepping stones podcast Mummycav. Laura gives some great tips about posture and is there to help you and seems to know when your shoulders aren't relaxed!😉
The stamina podcast is harder and longer and the speed one is tricky, it feels short but actually does give you a full workout.
Keep using them for a few weeks at least and it will give you a solid foundation and lots of confidence.😊xx
Love this post and love the fact that you've found your happy running again!! Go you 😊😊
Well done ! That's very encouraging 🤗
Speed is also good if you're stuck for time (podcast that is, not amphetamines 😂)
This is fabulous Bev, you needed this to keep you on track and moreso to keep you focused. Keep at it now and see how it makes you feel. Aww I sympathise with the lady above who has sadly lost her little dog, my little dog is poorly and on borrowed time, but on steroid tabs at the mo and bd full of life, it's so sad.
Sending out happy hugs to you Bev xx and to you Sillyyak13 ❤️ x
