Just arrived in NZ jet-lagged and vaguely hungover and received an email to say I had been lucky in the lottery for places in the Berlin marathon! So my 70th birthday IS going to be celebrated in style! Wish me luck!

OMG!

I was reading a sample of Jeff's marathon book last night thinking I might one day give it a whirl

He makes it sound do-able.

I think I may cave in and enrol

for an inline Galliway coaching programme . I need someone telling me I can do this!

How exciting, TT!!!!!! That's an amazing thing to be tackling for your 70th. You don't do anything by half do you. The training you do in NZ for the race your daughter entered you into will really stand you in good stead for your marathon. Looking forward to reading all the gory details of your training. GOOD LUCK 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Eeek indeed TT! The days when a person celebrating their 70th birthday involved a cup of tea, slice of cake and "not too much noise" are well and truly gone! Go you!

TT - if your are going to run a marathon, you will need to do some hills. How close are you to Mt Maunganui??? :)
