Positively support. Charity for those who are needy and cannot afford the expensive treatment but at the same time they also need a lotvof support. For others who can afford the treatmentvSUPPORT is most important. Without support from family, well-wishers, friends and relatives it is difficult to take such a marathon treatment in it's stride. We need support from doctors like Dr.shah and need forums for discussion to express one,'s feelings band difficulties. Thank you for bringing up such a debatable topic.

Yes, I agree with rgci13, Positive support plays an extremely important role.

I believe, in the treatment of cancer, 50% is positive attitude that matters, and the other 50% is taken care of by surgery / chemo / radiation. I cannot emphasize more about the need of a positive attitude. Also, when one is depressed, the body immunity becomes low. To battle cancer cells, we need immunity to be at it's highest. So here, a good social support matters, which gives the patient a hope, the patient starts thinking positive.

As for financial support, there are many organizations in most cities, that do a lot of help. I do not have much knowledge of smaller places.

In fact, there are a few NGO's based in US, who are in touch with me and wish to finance the treatment of needy patients here. Unfortunately, I do not have time and resource to channel those funds here by starting a small aid setup or something, there are a lot of legal hassles involved too. So I am trying to guide them to some trust based hospitals (whom I also trust!), where those funds can be used for the needy.
