Too curly hair after chemo

I finished chemotherapy 8 months ago and started getting scalp hair slowly. The colour of hair is darker and they are too curly. I always had curly hair before chemo too but not as much as they are now. Got a trim a month back hoping the texture would change but that has not worked either.

How long does it take for scalp hair to get back to same texture and color as before chemotherapy?

Difficult to say, but this is one thing for which we still don’t have an explanation - why does hair become curly for many after chemo. Over time, it does lessen, no doubt. You can use any hair treatment you feel may help.

Thank you doctor for a prompt response. Will see if I can find something herbal to help my hair.
