chemo rounds

hi

i have been advised 16 rounds of chemo

4 strong doses every 3 weeks followed by 12 light doses every week.

I wanted to know if anyone has done 16 rounds and is it possible to do lesser rounds.

What you are undergoing is a very standard chemo protocol. Nothing to worry. Most patients undergo that.

Like the good doctor said, Kajal, it is pretty standard - yes there are side effects, but remember that it saves your life. And once you’re done, you slowly get back to normal life. Just focus on being well enough to get that chemo on the day it is scheduled. That is the fastest way to get it over and done with.

I am also going through a similar protocol . I have finished one chemo second is due in couple of days .

I am on a similar chemo protocol and have finished my 4 cycles of three weekly chemo and then seven cycles of weekly chemo ...I have five cycles of weekly chemo left. It will all go well.... U must eat well , take a lot of fluids and take adequate rest. Just remain positive and motivated..Now that the battle against cancer has begun,the chemo are the good soldiers which will fight the cancer cells and thus one wins the battle
