It will be better, dont worry.

Just keep up good food (Don't eat additional things. Eat what you were eating normally and routinely).

Keep drinking lots of water.

Move around

Do your routine work

All this will surely help you reduce the side effects

Hi Bimal

I am your co passenger in this journey. However little bit farther away in this treatment. Going to have my second chemo on September 10th. The first one gave me lots lots of awareness about my body and how it would react and all that. I have prepared or preparing myself for the second one both physically and mentally. Usually I don't care or bothered much about my destination rather I focus on he journey which brings you lots of moments. However in this chemo treatment destination is at most important rather than the journey. We we all made of unique blue print and our body is so different. I am still suffering from chronic constipation and bloating in spite of all supportive medicines. But trying to cope with that. Remaining as positive as I good and not allow this hardship leg me down. I like to do cooking while I am at home and keep the house clean. Since I took time off from work to face this, that is one of the habit I held on to during chemo. No matter how much I am in pain and discomfort , I use the 30 percent energy I had to cook what I want to eat. I plan for the three meals and cook in the morning and saved my if at all left energy to focus on what my body had to say. Having no family support like back home I am on my own with my husband gone to work and daughter there to assist if I ask for help. It was hard and sometimes it was motivating and challenging. So don't worry..... Lord Ganesh will take care of your second one. After the first one, that is day on Ganesh Chaturthi" I felt better. So there's is some good energy on that day.....I will keep you in my prayers..... To give you strength to go through this journey

Regards

PK

Well written, PK53. Actually, one of the main aims of starting the forum was very much what you said in the first line above. As we have more and more users, I wished for people to go to chemo together and help each other. One person in one city, another in another city, but going to chemo on similar or nearby dates;; discussing it here and keeping a tab. It would be so helpful.

I can ever create a section for those undergoing chemo presently, if we have more and more discussion. You have been great in sharing your experiences, PK53. Thank you.

Thank you Dr.Shaw. Yes comforting and educating each other should be part of this forum. People need each other certainly when in distress,if not in good times

Hi Bimal and PK53,

I will join you in the chemo journey from 5th onwards. I have to take 3 more chemos.

I had completed half of my chemo journey on the 26th of July. There was a break in between as I had the surgery.

So again back to the journey from day after tomorrow.

Hope you are feeling fine.
