My mil is having a lump for around 6 months. She underwent a memography. Yesterday which shown abnormal lump. She feel pain and retraction in breast. Her nipple is inserted in and shape of breast is changed.she is suggested fnac. Which stage it should be.

First get the Biopsy / FNA to prove this cancer and not anything else. Staging will be done by your oncologist once he re-examines your MIL, carefully examines her armpit and if need be organise few imaging studies like chest x-ray and Ultrasound imaging to rule out spread of the cancer.

I very much agree with Dr. Rohit Malde. I can understand the anxiety but I request you to understand that such questions cannot be answered without examining the patient and detail and understanding the whole situation. So I suggest you visit your doctor and sort out at the earliest. I would suggest you to preferably meet a surgical Oncologist in your area if not available, meet a general Surgeon.
