AS i am having a triple negative.....will there be a recurrence????
triple negative is a sign of recurrenc... - Breast Cancer India
triple negative is a sign of recurrence....
Dr Sumeet may explain this better.
Though TNBC comes amongst aggressive cancer type but we are in the era of medical advancement, where people do survive with it and breast cancer is the most common cancer of women so there is a lot of research being done in this direction.
Prognosis and ASR depends on many factors. There are so many TNBC young and brave survivor in this forum who are not only surviving their lives but are the great source of motivation to all of us .

Dear ankita, sorry to know about you...sometime i m feeling helpless/speechless...because nothing is in our hand..so why we are worried about something...which we can not change...better to concentrate on treatment..i do understand..u r really very young to understand/handle these kind of situation...but dear nothing is impossible..and related to relapse..nothing is sure in any kind of bca...still medicall science dont understand what is it/how to handle it..they will talk only on the basis of statistics..and theses statistics can prove them wrong just in a second..yes its true its aggressive..according to statistics initial 3 year..chance of relapse is high in case of TNBC..after that its reduced drastically in comparison to other type of bc..but i won't belive on these statistics...so its better to accept the life as it comes..and remember first and last page of our life is written by god using pen which we cannot change..others pages written by pencil..which we can change by our attitude/will power...

I am also a TNBC patient. Yes, recurrence is definitely more probable in our case, but I don't think all is lost !. Actually if you look at 15-year survival rates of TNBC and HER2+ BC, you'll be surprised. Please check cancermath.net and though the figures are statistical, do not lose heart. Over a 5-10 year horizon, a number of new therapies will definitely be emerging.
Hi Ankita. As you said in one of your posts it is early stage for you and so the prognosis should be good.
So do not worry. Good wishes.
No, TNBC is not a sign of recurrence. Recurrence is decided by the stage and many other factors.
I have so many TNBC patients in my database, some with lots of nodes positive, still they are perfectly fine and are doing well.
I can very well understand, putting in your shoes, that it is impossible to not let such thoughts enter the mind. But we can definitely fight those thoughts away by being engaged in constructive things and also giving support to others. So do not worry, all will be fine and we are with you.
Hi!
I am TNBC and BRCA 1+ve. I had BC in 2008. Because of BRCA, my chances of recurrence were high. But that too can be taken care of. Now after 6 years, I'm healthy and do not dread any recurrence.
Hope you stay well. Stay positive and I wish you well.
