Mammogram follow up

Good morning everyoneLast Wednesday I received a letter asking me to attend an appointment for a second referral for my mammogram. To say I'm worried is an understatement.

I've no symptoms, no lumps and very worried. I know there could be various reasons and it might all be ok. Has anyone any ideas how to get through today ?

Thank you

Think positive. It could be a technical problem with the mammo, or if your breasts are very dense may want to do a followup with ultrasound. Sending prayers all is well.

Thank you for replyingI've just got back, I had another mammogram and an ultrasound apparently there is some calcification , so they are doing a biopsy on Thursday. I am trying to stay positive

on top of what sassy kitty says.

I had a pain in left breast and so had mammogram in both. It turned out the right breast had a really large and aggressive cancer that was very deep so it could not be felt. so I had mastectomy, chemo and radiotherapy.

BUT

This was nine years ago and I am ow well and happy, If I hadn’t had the mammogram I would certainly have not been diagnosed so quickly and the cancer would have spread. I would have been dead years ago.

So I am very grateful.
