my mum who is 61 recently went to her breast screening but was later given an appointment to attended further testing, they found a very small mass where she had surgery years ago and had to have some samples taken this was last week, they told her at that appointment that it if is cancerous they've caught it extremely early. they've called her back today and has to go see a consultant at another hospital on Thursday, what could this mean, they didn't give her the results over the phone. she has also had bleeding nipples and found a lump a few years ago which came back clear.
could this be cancer?: my mum who is 6... - My Breast Cancer ...
could this be cancer?
Hi there, what a terribly worrying time for you & your mum.
I don't think it's wise for anyone to speculate what this could mean, but just trust that your mum is in good hands & if it is anything suspicious she will get the best care.
It's good that she isn't being kept waiting for weeks & they are seeing her quickly.
Fingers crossed it turns out to be nothing and know that you can get support on here anytime.
Take care

Its a very worrying time for you all. Whatever it is, it sounds like they are on to it and that she will be getting the appropriate treatment promptly. I wish you both well . xx
I found waiting for results the most stressful time of my breast cancer treatment. Glad you can be there for your Mum. Let us know how it goes. Take care! X x x
