Hi, I have just found out how to access my hospital letters online ( I had Ovarian cancer two years ago and never get my letters).
I just found a letter sent to my gp ( but not to me) following a mammogram which stated that visually my breasts looked normal but there was a well defined mass under my right pectoral muscle that wasn't visible during my last mammogram. The letter concludes by saying they were discharging me into his (the gp's) care. This was back in May, but I haven't been contacted by my gp.
What could a mass like this be? I'm wondering if I should have been called by my gp and if I've been accidentally overlooked. Should I be worried or is a mass like this normal?
I would be grateful for any advice

I'd advise getting an urgent appointment with your GP, if only for them to reassure you it's ok, and if they have overlooked you they can refer you to the hospital for further tests, I'm keeping everything crossed it's ok for you, good luck x
Glad to hear you are following through on this!! Now that you can access your records, I recommend that you do it often. I have found that my records sometimes contain errors and so I request the errors be repaired!! It is vital that our records are accurate so that the folks looking at them are getting the correct information.
How do u access your records? I'm worried as sometimes I never get confirmation from appt about what discussed and my worries personally. I feel that once treatment, surgery etc finished noone is as bothered which is upsetting to me?
The clinic maintains a site where all patients can join and view their records. Ask if it is available to you - some of my docs participate in similar thing and some do not.
