Lump after double mastectomy

I had a skin and nipple spare double mastectomy almost 2 years ago. I found a lump under one of my nipples two days ago. I am freaking out!! I am having an ultrasound sometime next week. I just need to know if anyone has experience this and what has been the outcome? Thanks!!

Sorry to hear your news Grisol. I havent had your experience but I can understand that you are 'freaking out'. Everytime I get something that I worry about it goes to the pit of my stomach, it never seems to leave you. Good luck with the ultrasound and wishing its good news. xx Caroline

I look at it this way. As long as you found it if it is not just scar tissue..it can be treated and removed. I know people whose cancer returned a few times and then now are 20 years clear. Keep the faith.🌹

Wait for the scan but if you are at all

Concerned if they say just scar tissue insist on biopsy as it is much more accurate at detection.

I had a lump 5 years after on a reconstructed breast which they said was scar tissue. It grew. A year later on biopsy they said, oh dear you need another op.

Better to be safe than sorry .
