Shoulder aches

I had a lumpectomy November 2017 followed by radiotherapy to right breast underarm and chest up to collarbone as they found cancer in two lymph nodes. No problems so far. Clear mammogram after 1 year. Right shoulder really aches when I use right arm for ironing, digging, hoovering etc to the point where I could cry but eases with rest. Anyone else experienced this and do you think it needs checking out or is it normal after treatment.

Maybe contact BCN or GP to rule out anything serious, and hopefully it'll be easily resolved for you, good luck xx

There is no harm getting it checked out, however, having had the treatment you have had, you are not supposed to be doing too many heavy activities. Digging would come under that category as would hoovering. Have you got people at home who could help you? I changed my vacuum for a much lighter and very easily manoeverable one (Shark) and as for digging... nope. Your body needs time to recover as radiotherapy absolutely takes a great toll on your body. I was told it could take up to 5 years or more for symptoms from treatment to leave your body. Try taking it a little easier on yourself and ask for help doing heavier tasks. If you are worried do get it checked out. Chances are you may have pulled something. All the best, Lainey66 xx

It definitely could be caused by Lymphedema..that is if you had Lymphnodes removed.

Being cancerfree for one year I'm still at the point that I would be checked out. If something were to be wrong..better caught early than later. Prayers...
